Process
Starting out with some market research and looking at what other brands were partnering with Credit One Stadium, I then sourced some other sports and tennis related animations. Coming up with the concept of using a tennis ball and tennis racket to create some initial intrigue, I then created storyboards to start mapping out what the video would look like in the stadium.
Final Videos
Utilizing the placement of the ribbon boards around the stadium, I created animations that played off one another, making sure that the Fifth Third logo was always being shown in a couple of areas throughout the 30 second video. I decided to build a 15 second animation and loop it to keep viewers’ attention. The exterior videos had a similar structure as the interior, but were created to stand alone, with the Fifth Third logo also always present.
Website Banner Ads
In addition to the stadium signage, Fifth Third had the opportunity to utilize space on the Charleston Open website with static banner ads. I kept the design similar to the stadium signage for consistency in a region where the brand is fairly new and partnered with a copywriter to choose a slogan that played on the tournament.
